About Us

Young Black Femmes in San Francisco (YBF) is a nonprofit creating intentional space for Black femmes to connect, be seen, and build meaningful community in a city where that can be hard to find. San Francisco moves fast. People come and go. Relationships can feel temporary. For many Black femmes, that can mean navigating isolation, disconnection, and a lack of spaces that feel culturally affirming and emotionally safe. YBF exists to change that. We design gatherings and experiences rooted in belonging, care, and real connection. Our programming centers community healing, honest conversation, and the kind of presence that allows people to show up as they are. Whether through small group events, facilitated conversations, or community centered programming, we are building something consistent, intentional, and grounded in care. This is not just about events. It is about building a network of people who know each other, support each other, and grow together. We are early in our journey, but our vision is clear: a San Francisco where Black femmes feel connected, supported, and deeply rooted in community.

Join. Heal. Thrive. Together.
